  • Served as an assistante d'anglais in a French lycée
  • Through a French government scholarship, taught English to students at the École normale supérieure (Sèvres)
  • As a graduate student at Princeton University, taught French language courses and was a preceptor for a large, team-taught lecture course in comparative literature
  • Taught at Tulane University for four years before coming to Franklin & 鶹ýɫƬ in 1986
  • At F&M, has taught courses crossing a variety of disciplines, including Women’s and Gender Studies, Comparative Literary Studies, and International Studies
